I grew up and was schooled in the South of Johannesburg. My career started straight after school in the banking sector (Home Loans), from there I started my own recruitment agency and for the past 11 years I have worked in the piano industry attending to sales, marketing and the bookkeeping side of the business or now businesses’.
After I got married, I moved to Alberton and had 2 wonderful boys who are my pride and joy. Looking to give back in some way and my absolute love for animals, I joined the Alberton SPCA Committee and shortly after joining was nominated as Chairlady.
I was Chairlady of the Alberton SPCA for just over a year when I parted ways and started my own NPO, Cause 4 Paws. Cause 4 Paws, was my absolute passion, it grew from strength to strength and I was able to do Outreaches in numerous townships, vaccinating, sterilizing and feeding animals in need. I opened a shop selling all animal products which ended up being the backbone of Cause 4 Paws in terms of funding all the Outreaches and assisting other NPO’s in need.
In 2015 myself and my family moved to Hekpoort, Magaliesburg where we currently run a lodge called Imbabali Retreat and Venue; together with my husbands’ lifelong business in acoustic pianos.
I unfortunately had to hand Cause 4 Paws over to someone who could run with it, as the commute to Alberton was just too far and time consuming with my current responsibilities. I am currently on the Route 24 Committee and serve as Treasurer.
